SUBMIT A PLAY TO DURANGO PLAYFEST!

Submissions Accepted August 1 – October 1, 2026.
A maximum of 200 submissions will be accepted.

• $25 submission fee.
• Dramas or comedies accepted (no musicals at this time).
• Full-length plays should be approximately 90-110 minutes in length (80 – 110 pages). There are no intermissions at the readings.
• Plays may feature one to six characters.
• Submissions must be plays still in development. Playwrights are expected to further develop their work during PlayFest week.
• Each play selected will receive two public readings. Use of props, sound and lighting cues will be minimal.
• Playwrights receive a $500 stipend, airfare, lodging and meals.
• Playwrights must be residents of the continental U.S.
• Playwrights featured at previous PlayFest festivals must take a one-year hiatus before submitting again.
