Bud’s extensive theatre career includes over five decades as a producer and arts consultant. As a founder of the National Alliance for Musical Theatre, he was also instrumental in creating its yearly Festival of New Musicals.  He has been a board member of Durango PlayFest since its inception in 2018 and currently serves as its treasurer. Bud is President of Franks & Associates and a long-time resident of Vallecito, CO, where he lives with his wife and fellow PlayFest board member, Fran Franks.
