Maja is an award-winning actress and director whose recent stage work includes Richard Vetere’s ZAGŁADA, appearing opposite Tony Award winner Len Cariou. On Broadway, she made her debut as Ida Hallar in Irena’s Vow, the acclaimed play based on the true story of Holocaust rescuer Irena Gut. Her Off-Broadway credits include Foggy Bottom, An Oak Tree by Tim Crouch, Mark Ravenhill’s pool (no water), Richard Vetere’s Lady Macbeth and Her Lover, and productions with The Pearl Theatre Company. Additional New York and regional credits include The House of Connelly, Clytemnestra in Hades, Rewriting Her Life, Anna Akhmatova: Night Shadows, and The Disciple. Film and TV: The Immigrant opposite Marion Cotillard, directed by James Gray; Mona Lisa Smile; Going Shopping; The Knick, directed by Steven Soderbergh; Madam Secretary; Search Party; and Law & Order: SVU. In 2026, she received the Best Supporting Actress award at the GVFF for the film The Last Goodbye and the Jean Dalrymple Award for Outstanding Direction for ZAGŁADA.
